Dog Breed: Great Pyrenees / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Athena, a 4-year-old sweetie who’s in urgent need of a foster/forever home. She’s currently being crated 10–12 hours a day, and we want to get her out of that situation as soon as possible. Athena is spayed, potty trained, and about 65 pounds of love. As far as we know she gets along with other dogs and humans she knows—but new people? She’ll bark until she’s properly introduced. She loves kids, but no cats please—she likes to chase. Unfortunately, Athena isn’t up to date on vaccines, so she can’t go to one of our kennel partners, making a foster home her only safe option right now. Her owner is surrendering her because they had “no time or patience” for her—sigh. This girl deserves a calm, loving environment where she can thrive and feel safe.
