Aspen, at approximately 2 years old, is a sweet young girl. She has a gentle nature & loves to be around her foster parents. She acclimated immediately to the 3 male gsd’s in her foster home & plays with them at every opportunity. At over 90 lbs., Aspen needs to lose 15-20 lbs. She gets excited when it’s time for her morning walk & will need to continue with a daily exercise regimen. Fortunately, she is game for any adventure. Easy to handle on leash & with a desire to please, she is an easy dog to have around & take anywhere. We suspect she gained excessive weight through lack of exercise & being fed people food scraps. As we discovered, keeping the pantry door closed is a must. Though not tested, she may do well with a dog savvy cat as she seems disinterested in chasing squirrels and lizards with her foster pack. If you’re looking for an easygoing, lovable & affectionate addition to your family, sweet beautiful Aspen is your girl. A reasonable driving distance is determined by where one of our volunteers is willing to drive within our areas of service. That means we don't adopt out of our area, to Southern California, or out of state.
