Name: Sweets Best Guess for Breed: Husky and whippet mix Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of September 2025 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 38 lbs Gets Along With: Sweets is good with other dogs and has lived with cats. We haven't seen him with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: Texas shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here! Sweets is Looking For: His forever home! This great pup is friendly, loving, and social with people and pups alone! He was in foster care in Texas for a while and his foster said he interacted with dogs and cats and did very well with both - he was quite happy when animals of both species were around. She also said he's good on leash, loves walks, and is good in the car. In the shelter, he's been dog friendly and loves playing with other dogs. Yeah all that is great but you know what he wants most of all? To have his own humans, to be safe and loved, to know where he belongs.
