Dog Breed: Hound / Mixed. A FRIENDLY, ACTIVE & FUN PUP: Approx. 6-7 months old / Approx. 47 lbs. & growing Hi, I’m Kadie! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and while I love soaking up all the attention and good care from the wonderful volunteers here, what I really dream about is having a forever family and a home of my very own. Perhaps with you? • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I met 2 boys (ages 8 and 10 years old) at Mostly Mutts, and I liked them, so if you have kids around this age, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m described as a happy, friendly, wiggly and fun pup who wants to be friends with everyone I’ve met so far! I’ll give you some kisses, and snuggle close like the sweet lap baby I am. Baths and nail trims? No problem, I sat like a pro through the whole thing and soaked up the pampering. I’m playful and curious, so on my walks I like to check out (and sometimes try to pick up) everything I see. With my fun, loving nature and eagerness to be your best friend, I’m ready to bring joy, cuddles, and plenty of puppy love to my forever family! / Energy level: 6-8, so I’d like to be active with my family. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the ‘sit’ command and I look forward to learning lots more. I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog. I’m very strong and a lot of puppy in a medium-sized package, so training is important as everyone loves a well-trained dog! / I’m doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts. / I’m having some accidents on the shelter schedule, so I’ll need my new family to finish potty training me. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I enjoy being with people, whether it’s playing, soaking up some time together in sun, or curling up for some snuggles. I’m always ready to share love with warm hugs and sweet kisses! I also love playing with toys. / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow. I’m also micro-chipped and spayed. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
