Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $300.00. Hi there! My name is Pepper Shaker, but all my friends just call me Pepper . I’m a 9 month-old terrier mix, weighing in at about 25 pounds of wiggles and love. I’m full of energy and always ready for playtime, whether it’s chasing toys or running around with other dogs—big or small, I get along with them all! I’m crate trained, almost fully potty trained, and learning fast every day. When I’m not playing, I’m happiest curled up for cuddles and I absolutely love belly rubs! If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate buddy who’s always ready for the next adventure, I might just be your perfect match! Apply today at bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication if you want to meet me!

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
