Dog Breed: Terrier / Terrier / Mixed. Captain Hook and Tinkerbell are a charming, inseparable pair of terrier mixes who are ready to find their forever home. Tinkerbell, age 6 and 14 lbs, has a wiry tan-and-white coat and a spunky personality, while Captain Hook, 4-years-old and 12 lbs, has fine black-and-white fur and plenty of cuddles. Together, these best friends are the life of the party! Captain Hook and Tinkerbell are happy to make themselves at home. Previously found as stray dogs, they find comfort being together and are loving the coziness of their new foster home. They are house-trained and adore their crate, happily sharing an XL crate as their safe space. They do well when home alone, but prefer to be near their humans when possible. When out in the yard, they race and tumble over each other with zero spatial awareness, which never fails to bring laughs. Captain is especially fond of fetch, while both enjoy zooming around together. They will require a solid fence in their future home, as Tinkerbell is a clever little escape artist when given the chance. They have energy, but because they're smaller, they tire out faster. A short walk and playtime in the yard is all they need. This duo does well with other dogs though may bark a bit when introduced. They’re friendly with cats, curious but never pushy. Though they haven’t met kids while in our care, their sweet and gentle nature suggests they'd do well. A proper introduction will be needed when making new friends. Captain Hook and Tinkerbell are many things—playful, cuddly, sweet, and peppy—and they're ready to give you twice the love! Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
