Description

Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Azalea is a gentle pittie girl with the softest soul! She's a little shy and can get stressed in new places, but with patience and kindness, she starts to blossom. Almost potty-trained, she'll need monitoring until she settles in. Once she's comfortable, she's an ideal houseguest. She's clearly been a mom recently, and sometimes she looks a little lost, like she's searching for her puppies. But give her a toy to chase, and her youthful, playful side shines through. She's friendly with all people, including children, and ignores other dogs during outings. She's completely quiet—no barking at all—making her a delightful companion on walks. Azalea is mellow indoors. She enjoys cuddling and will follow people around the house. She's also curious and playful and will keep herself entertained by tossing toys for herself. She likes to gather random household items, but isn't destructive. After playtime, she likes to sunbathe and relax or take a nap. Azalea has no food aggression. She has a soft mouth and chews gently. She doesn't mind body handling. On a recent outing, she was very social and well-loved by everyone she met. Her sweet, easygoing nature makes her a great fit for a family. Her soulful face should have you running to the shelter to take her to the home she deserves. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
