Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. *Name: Arctic *Age: DOB 10/24/24 *Current Weight: 23 lbs *Adoption fee: $550 (plus $150 spay/neuter deposit, see below for more information) Meet Arctic —our little miracle pup! This sweet boy has already proven just how strong and resilient he is. When we first rescued him, Arctic was so anemic that he needed a lifesaving blood transfusion. Thanks to his fighting spirit (and a lot of love), he’s now thriving and ready to find his forever family. Arctic is a playful, happy puppy who loves nothing more than romping around with his dog friends and getting attention from kids. He’s gentle, loving, and always up for a good snuggle after playtime. After everything he’s been through, Arctic deserves a family who will shower him with the same love he gives so freely. Could that be you? IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. The $150 deposit will be returned once the contract has been fulfilled. To apply to adopt, fill out an application at snarrnortheast/adopt/ PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR FAQs

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
