Description

Dog Breed: Border Collie / Beagle / Mixed (short coat). Meet Little Ranger. We received a call from a fellow rescuer that there was a tiny 4 to 5 week old pup a young girl bought from someone that was evicted from their home. The young girl did the right thing and reached out for help. Thru a collaborative effort we had a seasoned foster in right place at right time and had experienced with unweaned puppies. Ranger has been in the loving care of thia foster and is now fully weaned and ready to go home soon after his first vet visit and vaccine. Bravery AND a social butterfly?!  What more could you ask for! Ranger is looking for an individual or family to share his adventurous spirit with.  His new family should be ready to welcome plenty of snuggles on the couch after a full day of exploration. Ranger gets along extremely well with other dogs, but would be fine being the only dog in the house. He learns very quickly, and is currently working on his housetraining. He sleeps quietly in a kennel or crate overnight, but is happy to join you on the bed for a nightly snuggle. If you are looking for a very affectionate addition to your family, who is also ready to head out to meet the world, this sweet guy could be the one for you! Ranger's approximate date of birth is July 31, 2025, so he will be ready to join a family soon. "He is a very independent pup, but still very friendly and affectionate. He doesn't seem to be getting larger very quickly, but then again, he is only 7 weeks old, and seeing him every day may distort my perception. I have a feeling he won't be very big. His personality is coming out more and more." Please visit our website for more info on our adoption process and adoption application .barkdogfarm Please be sure all family members are in agreement to adopting and your family is ready to bring dog home now. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. We do not have blanket criteria regarding adoptions. Each applicant is considered based on many things including but not limited to breed experience, yard ( visible fence preferred) and other animals in home. We try to avoid dogs with same sex households as pyrs typically do not do well with the same sex. A volunteer will be in touch to discuss your application and the dog to determine if it is a good match. Your vet and two references will be called. A virtual home visit done. Once approved a meet and greet at the farm will take place. If all are in agreement an adoption contract will be signed and adoption fee paid. Adoption fees for dogs are $500. for adults over 12 months, $600 for puppies 12 months and younger. Fees for seniors, special needs or harder to place dogs will be determined by our Board of Directors. All dogs will be altered when adoption is finalized. This may involve young puppies be given until a certain age to be altered. All animals are up to date on age appropriate core vaccines, negative for parasites, heart worm and lyme tested if 6 months or older, microchipped and have a current health certificate. Proof of a basic obedience course completed is part of our adoption contract within six months.
