Description

Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). Dr. Pepper is a gorgeous German Shepherd with a heart that just needs a little time to blossom. At first he's skittish and unsure. Shelter life has been really tough on him, and it's clear he's had a hard past. He came to us very skinny and is still working on trusting people, especially men, though our male volunteers are helping him make progress every day. Once you crack his shell, Dr. Pepper is sweet, affectionate, and loves gentle sweet talk. He's struggling to eat in the stressful shelter environment, which is why he needs a calm, loving home as soon as possible. Despite being shy, he is open to dog friends, and tries to play bow through fences. Sometimes he's a bit awkward but tries his best to be friendly. This boy has been through a lot, but with patience and kindness, he's ready to show just how loyal and loving he can be, true to his breed. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
