Dog Breed: Husky / Mixed (medium coat). Tootsie is currently in a foster home! If you are interested in meeting her, please call the shelter so we can coordinate with her foster family (: Tootsie is a very sweet, overly affectionate dog. She loves with everything she has and is the most loyal companion. Tootsie came from a home with many other dogs. She was skinny and it was clear that she had been through a lot. Now she is on her weight gain journey and enjoying life! Her foster home has other dogs; she was intimidated by them initially but has since warmed up and enjoys cuddling with her new companions. Tootsie is still learning the ropes and will need a patient owner who is willing and able to continue training and provide her with the time she needs to adjust! Tootsie is working on potty training and doing well. She is not a huge fan of being crated and will need more positive crate experiences before she is fully comfortable in a crate. We are so proud to hear though that she is making huge strides with crate training. She has also gained confidence with walking on leash and knows the cue 'sit'. Tootsie is such a gentle soul. Though she can be a little shy with meeting new people she has been quick to trust. She adores the children in her foster home and could make a great addition to just about any family!
