Description
Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Shepherd / Mixed (short coat). Please contact Nancy Anderson (nancyaluckydoganimalrescue) for more information about this pet. young boy ready to play! MARCUS NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Marcus Best Guess for Breed: Lab and shepherd mix Best Guess for Age: 5 months as of September 2025 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 28.2 lbs as of 9/18/25; he is still growing! Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: Puerto Rico shelter - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here! Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think he would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure he can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes. Marcus is Looking For: Hi! I'm Marcus. My brother Melvin and I are satos - island dogs from Puerto Rico. We've had a great time in our little puppy pile but now we're ready to split up to get our own humans and become well-loved family pets! I'm just an older puppy so I'm all about play and snuggles and more play - and world exploration! I want to be right by your side to see all those new places! And I want to make pup pals along the way. Oh and I should go to dog school too, to learn to be the bestest boy! In exchange I promise to give you all the adoring gazes and tail wags I am storing up - to always put a smile on your face - and to be a loyal, loving companion for all my days. What do you say? Do I get to go home with you? What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once he has spent time in foster care. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
