Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Meet Bitty! Bitty is 30 pounds of goofy, wiggly, tail wagging sweetness and she can't wait to love you! She may be a shy girl at first meeting but once she learns your routine and has a confident dog to guide her, she will soon be giving you kisses and wagging her tail non stop! She came into the rescue as a shell of the dog she is currently. She has built so much confidence and is now showing her foster family all the silly things she does! She loves to zoom fast around the yard while her friends play chase, sunbathing is a must do activity, and don't even get us started on meal time and treats....it's her FAVORITE. Bitty needs a patient adopter with at LEAST one other dog. If you have 2, 3, or even 4 dogs she will be thrilled! She's good with kitties too!. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current with all vaccines (as appropriate for her age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Bitty is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT BITTY!! .LuckyPupRescueSC The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
