Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Buckaroo and his sister Chica, came in together and are ready for their new start in life! Both are very playful, happy little pups (and of course a little hesitant about anything so much bigger than them) They are just over 2 months old, love to play and get treats and get all the lovin'. They are young enough to get acclimated with other dogs, cats and kids. They do so well with using their puppy pads, and going outside to potty. They are clearly very smart and as long as they have the consistency in training, they will do just fine! They are the whole package as long as you have the time and commitment for a puppy. Puppies need a consistent schedule, socializing and training in order to grow up to be well rounded adult dogs! They are a 10-15 year commitment. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts. Please visit our website for additional information. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
