Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Yellow Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Meet Dak! Hi, I'm Dak — an 8-year-old English Lab weighing about 86 lbs. Sadly, my owner passed away, and now I'm searching for a new family to love me. A little about me: I get along best with female dogs and would prefer a home with a lady pup companion. I've done well around children, but since I'm a big boy who doesn't always realize my own strength, I'm best suited for families with kids 10 years or older. I haven't lived with cats, and since I have some prey drive toward smaller animals, a cat-free home is recommended. My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, boosters to-date and heartworm negative. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
