Description
Dog Breed: Husky. Hello, My name is Freya. I am a very energetic and smart girl who loves to do the zoomies in the yard! I have a great personality consisting of the typical Husky behaviors though I'm not as talkative. I love to play with other dogs however, I do have a prey drive to cats arent really my thing. I love cognitive toys like Kongs or puzzles, and I LOVE Peanut butter with my toys and puzzles. I also would do best in a home where I am not left unattended outside otherwise I might get bored and jump a fence. especially if its 4 foot.

Breed overview
Siberian Husky
A.K.A.: Husky, Arctic Husky, Chukcha, Chukchi, Chukchi Sled Dog, Sibe, Sibes, Sled Dog, Snow Dog
Overview:
The Siberian Husky is a striking and beloved breed, originating from Northeast Asia where they were bred by the Chukchi people for pulling sleds over long distances in harsh conditions. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their medium size, thick double coat (available in various colors and markings), and often captivating blue or bi-colored eyes. Their temperament is typically friendly, outgoing, and playful, making them generally good with children and other dogs. However, their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, coupled with a strong prey drive, means consistent training and secure containment are essential. While affectionate, their high energy levels and need for significant exercise make them less suitable for sedentary lifestyles or tiny apartments; a house with a securely fenced yard is often preferred. Health-wise, they are generally robust but can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems such as cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy. Overall, a Siberian Husky thrives with active families committed to meeting their exercise and mental stimulation needs.
