Dog Breed: Rottweiler / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Luna is a sweet and social 3-year-old Rottweiler/Lab mix looking for her next best friend! At 97 pounds, she'll convince you that she's a lap dog so she can happily sit on your lap or feet. Luna is very easygoing and adjusted quickly to her foster home. She is house trained, fully trusted to be home alone, and barely makes any noise. She will also go into her crate when asked, but she is only in her crate for a few minutes at a time. She has a medium energy level and is happy with short walks and some yard time each day. She loves to sniff around, chase a soccer ball, and chill out with a good chew stick when she's done. While she hasn’t had much interaction with other dogs, she shows curiosity and excitement when she sees them. She has happily sniffed the neighbor dog through a fence and wants to meet other dogs on walks. She does not have experience with cats or kids, so a proper introduction is recommended, especially due to her size. Luna loves people, she's gentle at heart, and she's the perfect addition to a family looking for a big, loving shadow by their side. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
