Dog Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 250. Bruno is a handsome 3-year-old boy with a heart as big as his smile. He wandered into his foster’s yard one day and never left—sadly, no one came forward to claim him. Malnourished and heartworm positive, he needed help, and we made sure he got everything he deserved: medical care, good food, and lots of love. Bruno completed his heartworm treatment on 9/26 and is now ready to begin the rest of his healthiest and happiest life! For the next 4–6 weeks, Bruno will need to continue resting as part of his recovery, but this is easy for him—he happily follows his person’s lead and is a natural couch potato. During this time, he can go foster-to-adopt, meaning he can settle into his forever home while he finishes healing. In about 6 months, he will need to be retested to confirm he is heartworm-free. This boy is laid-back, loves people, does great with other dogs, and has just enough playful energy to enjoy chasing a ball. After everything he has been through, Bruno is so ready to know the security and love of a forever family. Adoption is $250 which includes his neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention. To fill out an application for this animal or a general application click HERE.
