Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Meet Boo! She is a 3-month-old Miniature Pinscher/Terrier mix who was recently rescued and is now thriving in a loving foster home. Boo is a playful and social butterfly who loves her toys and enjoys romping around with her furry friends. She adores soaking up the sunshine, going for walks (she’s wonderful on leash), and curling up on the couch to watch TV. Boo is already learning basic commands and has mastered “sit.” She’s eager to learn more, especially when treats are involved, and she always rewards her people with the sweetest kisses afterward. Full of love and personality, Boo is ready to bring joy, fun, and affection to her forever family. If you are interested in adopting, please visit the I.C.A.R.E. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
