Dog Breed: Unknown breed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 275. Hi! I'm Babybel, pocket size bully at 33 lb, giant size heart. My favorite thing to do is to cuddle with my family, I love all people and all animals that I've met this even includes the cat which was really scary the first day. My foster mom calls me the perfect angel which is true. my second favorite thing to do is eat snacks. I'm still figuring out the world I'm learning all kinds of new cool things with this family and hanging out with all of my furry brothers and sisters All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
