Dog Breed: Unknown breed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 300. This sweet girl is the whole enchilada! Enchilada is a 10-week-old mystery mutt has the most gorgeous blue eyes and a personality as bright as they are. With a mix that might include terrier, husky, lab, or heeler, she’s the perfect recipe for fun, cuddles, and adventure. Enchilada loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home and has just the right amount of spice to keep you laughing. When she’s done with her zoomies, she’s ready to cozy up like a pupurrito in the closest dog bed for a nap. Enchilada is just starting to learn her puppy basics, but she’s one smart cookie (or should we say churro?) who catches on quickly. Apply to adopt this pretty girl today! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
