Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Mixed. Louise is a serious name for a little dog, and Miss Louise is anything but a serious girl. This 12 1/2 lb., one year old pup is not shy about asserting her little chihuahua mix self and letting the other dogs know she would like to be first in line…for kisses and snuggles with her person, that is. She would like nothing more than a person who wants to bond with her and have her follow you all over the house, while she wags her cute curly tail to let you know how happy she is to be with you. Louise is not a fan of the crate, and can be quite vocal when crated, so it would be best if she were not in an apartment or townhome. She would love if her person were home more often than not. She is working on her housetraining, and is a fan of walks. She would like a home where she can sleep in the big bed, where she will dive under the covers and help keep you warm. She loves her a few stuffies to gnaw on and play with… better that than the corner of a pillow or your shoes…She is good with other dogs and cats. Kids are an unknown, as there aren’t any in her foster home, but respectful kids would likely be okay. Louise tends to bark at new people that come in, but will settle down with some redirection and a little time. This sweet little girl is actually a mom to two little pups, and was unceremoniously dropped off at the shelter with said pups just five days after giving birth. Now it is her time to find her true forever home and forever person(s) where she will be loved the rest of her days.
