Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed (short coat). Approx. DOB: 8/24/24 Approx. Weight: 50 Lbs Adoption Fee: $ 250 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! New Pictures Coming Valley is such a delight to have around. You can tell she is very much a people dog. She follows me around to see what I'm doing and if I need her help. Valley will lean against me, to remind me to take a break and give her some lovins. She is so even tempered with all the dogs. Her personality is playful but not hyper, well adjusted with other dogs, always wanting to share her love with you. She has not acted dominant or aggressive towards any of the other dogs. She appears to be housebroken and crate trained. Valley might fuss a little when she first goes into a crate but it doesn't last long. We are still getting to learn more about her everyday but what I've seen so far is a stable, sweet, playful, loving, people pleaser dog that wants her humans to be happy. Someone will be very lucky when they adopt this beautiful girl. I have been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
