Currently Living at: DC area foster home Check out this video of Kerry playing with a dog friend at the dog park! Kerry is Looking For: Her forever family! This sweetie is in her prime as a young adult dog and is eager to explore the world by her humans' side - and to get all those snuggles and cuddles after a long day together. Making pup pals along the way would be great, and she wants to go to dog school to show how super smart she is as well. She promises adoring gazes, tail wags, and loyal companionship for all her days in exchange. What do you say? Is Kerry the one you see by your side? What My Foster Says About Me: Kerry is such a great dog! She’s so sweet, snuggly, and well-trained. After a day two, she was as happy as can be, running around, wagging her tail, and playing with all of her toys. She loves other dogs and people! She would do best with a yard and/or frequent trips to the dog park. She doesn’t bark much, she sleeps in her crate over night, knows sit and paw, and hasn't had accidents in the house. Whoever ends up with this sweet girl will be very lucky! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. Breed overview
Overview:
The Borador, a delightful cross between the intelligent Border Collie and the friendly Labrador Retriever, is a relatively new designer breed gaining popularity. Originating from the desire to blend the best traits of both parents, Boradors typically inherit a medium build, often with the Labrador's strong frame and the Collie's agile grace. Their coat can vary widely in color and texture, from short and dense to medium-length and feathery, usually requiring moderate grooming. Temperamentally, they are known for being loyal, energetic, and highly trainable, making them excellent companions for active families. They thrive in environments where they receive plenty of physical and mental stimulation, making them less suitable for small apartment living unless daily exercise is guaranteed. While generally healthy, potential owners should be aware of predispositions to conditions seen in their parent breeds, such as hip and elbow dysplasia or certain eye conditions, underscoring the importance of responsible breeding practices.
