Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / English Bulldog / Mixed (medium coat). If you search `Butterbean` online, you will find a 300-pound bald wrestler from the 90s. If you search `Butterbean` up here at our shelter, you will find this beautiful Bully Breed Mix available for adoption. Butterbean, the dog at the shelter (not the wrestler), has been affectionate and easy to take out on leash. She has met a few dogs here at the shelter and coexisted nicely, although has not found her perfect `match`. We do not have any history with Butterbean and children, therefore all memebers of the household are required to meet at the shelter prior to adoption. Based on behavior observed at the shelter, Butterbean is not recommended to go to a home with cats. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
