TANNER* - BEAGLE / STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER / MIXED (MEDIUM COAT) DOG FOR ADOPTION

Description

Dog Breed: Beagle / Staffordshire Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Tanner! This mixed breed dog came to the Shelter as a stray. The good Samaritan that found him reported that he played well with her resident small breed dog and was friendly with the family. Upon arrival at the Shelter, Tanner has enjoyed going out with volunteers for play and sniffaris. Although a smaller/medium sized dog, Tanner has big dog energy. He has enjoyed some wrestling with a larger breed (90lb female shepherd mix) at the Shelter. Any resident dogs should meet the Shelter prior to adoption. Saturday August 23rd and Sunday August 24th, the Shelter will be having a fee waived adoption special. This event is sponsored by the ASPCA and helps highlight that when you choose adoption, you are not only helping one animal find a home but helping the Shelter take in and care for another in it’s place. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
