Description
Dog Breed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois. Meet Vienna — Looking for Her Forever Home! Vienna is a busy little bee with a big heart! She’s an affectionate, social girl who’s eager to please and ready to learn. Though active and curious, she’s not a big barker — she prefers to stay focused on her people and her toys. About Vienna: Soft-mouthed pup who easily gives up her toys No resource guarding — polite at mealtime and sits for feeding Learning leash manners and working on her “heel” Has pretty good recall for a young pup Super friendly with both dogs and people — she thinks everyone’s a potential friend! Respectful toward her older furry foster siblings Crate-trained and sleeps quietly through the night Velcro girl who loves being close to her humans Still Learning: Working on not jumping up or counter-surfing Needs reminders not to dart out the door Potty training is going well — she’ll go outside but still benefits from encouragement What She Needs: Vienna will thrive in a home that provides: Consistent training and structure Daily exercise and mental stimulation A patient, active family ready to continue her progress. Smart, social, and a natural problem-solver, Vienna is a girl with potential! With her keen mind and drive, she could even be a great candidate for Search & Rescue, cadaver work, or mountain trailing. Vienna acts mature for her age but is still very much a playful puppy at heart. She’s an absolute gem — could she be yours? All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and 6 month subscription. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
