Channing is a small Chihuahua/Terrier mix who came into an emergency vet clinic just two days after being hit by a car. His family, unable to afford treatment, made the heartbreaking decision to have him euthanized—an outcome that nearly came to pass after the father admitted he couldn't bring himself to follow through with his original plan to shoot him. Before proceeding, the veterinary team took investigative x-rays and discovered multiple pelvic fractures and a tibial fracture in his left leg. Despite the injuries, they saw hope. With intensive cage rest, medication, and supportive care, they believed Channing had a real shot at recovery. Today, he’s thriving in his foster home— he has completed rehabilitation and healed faster than expected and exceeded everyone’s expectations. Channing is a quiet, sweet, and gentle soul. Despite all he’s been through, he remains friendly and calm. Channing is kennel trained and house trained- so he is ready for the spoiled house dog life .
