Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Tony – Our Energetic Explorer! Tony has been with us longer than most, and in that time he’s shown us just how special he is. This young adventurer is full of curiosity and enthusiasm for life — birds, squirrels, and even lizards are all fascinating to him! He’s learning how to channel that excitement into good manners and focus, and he’s making great progress. Tony knows “sit,” especially when treats are involved, and he loves puzzle toys that let him use his sharp mind. Give him a quiet yard, and you’ll see his playful energy melt into calm concentration as he works out how to get every last snack. He’s a strong boy who never says no to a good game of fetch, racing across the grass with joy before trotting back for another throw. When he’s had enough, he’ll happily check in, lean close, and let you know it’s time for some well-earned treats and affection. Tony would thrive with someone who appreciates an active companion and can give him the structure and patience he deserves. After all this time, he’s ready to finally find his place in the world — a home where his goofy energy, loyal nature, and growing manners will shine. Tony has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home. Looking for a buddy for your dog?
