Description
Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Hello! My name is Sean! I am quite the adventurous fella; I travelled all the way across the state from an awesome shelter to BCHS in the hopes of finding my forever family. Ambitious? Yes. Hopeless? Absolutely not! I have so much hope in my big, loving heart that I will finally find my family. New friends, change of scenery, and an introduction to the yinzer accent are just perks! I am very smart, even if sometimes I like to ignore you...but my training is cool and I've worked really hard at learning new skills. I am a typical lab mix as far as it concerns small animals: I will sniff them out with this adorable nose and do my best to catch the litte critters! So, I can't go home with any small animals. Actually, I don't enjoy the company of other canines either, but I keep myself busy with my people and prefer to shower them with all my love and affection. My dream home would be easy-going, calm, relaxing. Let's cuddle up and watch a movie or read a book, go for a stroll, and enjoy the day together. You can win my heart with yummy snacks, toys, and lot of pets...I'm a pretty simple fella in that way. Some dogs find their forever families pretty quick, without a lot of fuss...they're very lucky and I hope to be a family dog soon. I've had a long journey so far and I've never given up hope that someone will choose me, for me. I've travelled 312 miles, waited many weeks and months, met many kind shelter workers along the way, and I know my family is about to walk through the door, finally, at any moment. Could it be you? Come meet Sean today! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes: - initial canine distemper combination vaccination - first worming or stool check - rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age) - 24 Petwatch microchipping - flea treatment/preventative - spaying or neutering -heartworm testing Adoption fee: $135.00 Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $9.20. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$7.20) Leash and collar included
