Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff (short coat). Blue (A561641) Meet Blue! ?? Blue is a handsome 2-year-old Cane Corso with the sweetest personality and the cutest little underbite thatâs guaranteed to melt your heart. This big boy may be a little on the lean side right now, with his hip bones showing, but that just means heâs ready for a loving home that can spoil him with good meals and TLC. Blue already shows off great mannersâhe takes treats gently (though he can be a little picky!) and knows his basic cues like sit and down. Heâs also been in playgroup here at the shelter, which is a great sign of his social skills. When he got the chance to explore the big yard, Blue was content to sniff around and take in all the new sights and smells. This gentle giant is ready to leave shelter life behind and become someoneâs loyal best friend. Could that someone be you? ?? Blue is available for all adopters! Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
