Other: Neutered Male, Vaccinations current, Microchip, Fenced Yard Required Nicko marches to the beat of his own tail wag ** Fenced Yard Required Foster Home Feedback 10/5/2025 Foster Feedback: Nicko has been with us since mid-August, and he’s made some sweet progress. He’s formed a close bond with our beagle, often using him as a “bodyguard” by following him around and laying nearby. Nicko feels more comfortable when another dog is close, and he’s more willing to be petted in those moments. He sleeps well in his kennel and settles in easily when you leave. However, if he’s not kenneled overnight, accidents can happen. Leash training is still a work in progress. Nicko feels confined when leashed and tends to jump around trying to get free. Because of this, I highly recommend that his future home have a securely fenced yard. The good news is—he does come when called! With time, patience, and a gentle approach, I’m confident Nicko will blossom into a loving companion. Speaking to him in a calm voice and reaching out slowly and gently helps build trust. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term.
