Dog Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Adoption Fee: $350. Ebony is a super sweet cavalier in search of her forever family. She came to SFCR as a breeder release and is loving the brand-new life put before her. Ebony does have a grade III heart murmur and has been started on Vetmedin. She will need this medication lifelong. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - no invisible fences. Confident resident dog to help show Ebony the ropes is preferred. Financially stable family willing and able to provide Ebony with her needed heart medication and keep up with her cardio checks, etc. *All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
