Description
Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Archie! What a gorgeous little boy! Archie is a Parti Yorkie, a purebred Yorkie with a specific type of coloring. Sometimes referred to as a Biewer Terrier. Archie is just a little pup at almost 3 months of age. He is tiny and weighs only 4-5 lbs. He is a happy boy and he loves other dogs. If there is a little friend for him to play with in his forever home he would be so happy. Archie is just a baby and learning about the world. He will need consistent positive training and socialization in order to grow up to be a good canine citizen. He is too young to be alone for long periods of time. Archie can be a little timid in new situations so adjusting to his pace is important. He is a very sweet little boy. Archie is vaccinated and chipped. He will be neutered around 6 months of age at our cost. Neuter is not negotiable and part of the adoption contract. His adoption fee is $525 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
