Her crystal-blue gaze is mesmerizing, especially when she’s soaking up belly rubs—her favorite pastime. She’ll melt into the moment, eyes gently closed, completely at peace in the presence of her people. Ivy spent many months in a rural Kentucky shelter. Her journey took a hopeful turn when a kind-hearted foster family welcomed her into their home. She was sad and scared. Ivy quickly blossomed into a joyful, affectionate companion due to the love and TLC from her fosters. Her fosters adored her so much they showered her with toys—so many that she had her own mountain of squeaky treasures! Right before arriving at LaMancha, Ivy entered a 4H dog show and stole the spotlight, winning 1st place and Best in Show! She was rewarded with a pup cup and cheeseburger. Her fosters were so proud of her, but what mattered most was Ivy’s grace and confidence in a bustling, unfamiliar environment. She greeted people of all ages with warmth and was very well-behaved and sociable with other dogs. Ivy loves the water, loves her people, is an easy walker, and just a wonderful all-round girl.
