Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 550. Introducing Lays, an adorable pup born around July 8th with a big personality and an even bigger heart! Lays is a bundle of energy and joy who's ready to find a family to call his own. Lays is curious, playful, and full of puppy charm. He’s still learning the ropes of potty training, but he’s making great progress with consistency and praise. He’s also starting to get the hang of walking on a leash and harness – and doing a pretty cute job of it, too! This sweet boy loves everyone he meets – dogs, kids, adults – you name it! He’s social, affectionate, and would thrive in a home with playmates (human or canine). Whether he's romping around the yard, learning new tricks, or snuggling up after playtime, Lays is sure to bring lots of love, laughter, and tail wags into your life. Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! The adoption fee of $550 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
