Description
Dog Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier / Siberian Husky / Mixed. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Rowan finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) . Rowan | 5-month-old Staffy/Siberian Husky mix | Tug-of-War Champ Rowan is a sweet and playful 23-pound puppy who’s as charming as she is fun. She’s your classic “go, go, go, then crash” kind of pup—full of energy for playtime, but quick to settle down for a good nap once she’s tired out. Rowan is doing wonderfully with her housetraining, and as long as she’s taken outside regularly, she knows exactly what to do. This little girl loves playing with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion, especially one who enjoys tug-of-war and puppy wrestling as much as she does. She’s already shown she can be calm and respectful with older dogs, and she completely ignores cats. Rowan hasn’t been around children yet, but with her sweet, friendly nature, she’d likely do well in a family setting. On walks, Rowan is a champ. She happily trots alongside her foster’s bigger dog, doesn’t react to distractions, and improves every day with practice. She’s still young and learning boundaries—like not jumping up for treats—but she’s smart, food-motivated, and eager to please. Rowan would love an active home that can match her puppy energy and keep her engaged with play, training, and adventure. She’s not a fan of car rides just yet, but with patience and positive experiences, she’ll gain confidence. With her playful spirit, easygoing personality, and love of both toys and affection, Rowan is ready to grow into the loyal companion she’s meant to be. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $450 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit). Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogsarrcolorado for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.
