With rich coffee and gold tones in her dense, plush fur, she’s like the coziest blanket you’ve ever felt - perfect for warm snuggles on quiet evenings. Once clearly a cherished indoor companion, based on her well kept coat and pristine ears, Luna is now looking for the same love and comfort in her golden years. She’s a bit on the chonky side (just 10 pounds to lose!), but a few short daily strolls and some veggie snacks like green beans or carrots will have her feeling her best in no time. Calm, gentle, and beautifully mellow, Luna would be a wonderful fit for almost any home. She’s a stunning soul inside and out, and she deserves a warm, safe forever home to enjoy the rest of her life. Will that fur ever home be with you? ❤️ -9 year old black and tan German Shepherd -92 pound unaltered female - Luna picked up a little doggy cold at the shelter that she’s still recovering from, so hasn’t been spayed yet; will need to be adopted on a health and trust waiver -adopter to follow up with own vet for further diagnostics and potential treatment -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 9/13/25 as an owner surrender - but we have no notes and no idea why, as Luna was clearly loved and is such a delight to be around! -gorgeous gold and rich coffee coat, dense and plush, like the coziest blanket you've ever felt - perfect for snuggles! -sweet older gal with a pretty, well cared for coat and ears that shows she was once a valued indoors only dog - looking to be loved and cherished the same way in her golden years -a bit overweight, perhaps from being spoiled a bit *too* much - will feel better if she can lose 10 or so pounds (can sub in yummy veggies like green beans or carrots for part of her regular meals!) -calm, lovely lady, with a delightfully chill, easy going personality that makes her an excellent fit for a wide variety of households -very pretty and sweet soul - stunning inside and out -good partner for short local walks to enjoy the neighborhood with you, and to help her lose a few pounds -deserves a warm, safe, loving forever home for the rest of her life LUNA’S VIDEO: youtube/shorts/DwCWAnnhelg For more information, contact volunteer Lisa at lisaaunitedhopeforanimals ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.
