Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier. A5724182 Say hello to Chunky , a 100-pound roly-poly meatball of love! This 6-year-old Pitbull truly lives up to his name - big, handsome, and full of charm, with a cute happy tail that never stops wagging. Don’t let his cropped ears fool you - Chunky is no bad boy, but rather a total lovebug who just wants to snuggle and play. Despite his size, he’s no couch potato either - this bouncy boy would thrive with an active family and could be your next hiking or running buddy! He’s curious and calm around other dogs and knows basic commands like sit and come, though he’d benefit from a bit of a refresher on leash training (he’s a strong boy!). No cats for this guy, but if you're looking for a goofy, affectionate companion who’s equal parts cuddles and zoomies, Chunky's your man! -6 year old grey and white Pitbull -100 pound neutered male -up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! However, Chunky got a little doggy cold at the shelter that he’s still getting over, so he will need to be adopted on a health waiver -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 9/2/25 as an owner surrender - but we have no notes and no idea why, as Chunky is a big ole hunk of loving! -truly lives up to his name! a big handsome boy, like a roly poly meatball -don't let his cropped ears scare you off - Chunky is a certified lovebug, 100 pounds of snuggly, cuddly fluff, with a super charming natural tail that's always swishing with excitement -despite his size, he is not a couch potato - bounces around with enthusiasm, incredibly playful and would do best with a family or household with an active lifestyle - could make an excellent running or hiking buddy! -would likely thrive with other pups in the home - has been curious about dogs at the shelter, and nonreactive even when they barked at him -however, no cats - too strong a prey drive -could benefit from a refresher on some of the basics - strong boy that pulls a bit on leash, so could benefit from a bit more leash work, but is a smart cookie, so should pick things up fast! -appears potty trained and already knows basic commands like sit and come CHUNKY’S VIDEO: youtube/shorts/krra-t For more information, contact volunteer Lor at lorunitedhopeforanimals Photo Credit Sena Zimmer Look up this or other animals at Baldwin Park Animal Care Center animalcare.lacounty.gov/view-our-animals/ Use their unique ID NUMBER.
