Description
Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). A5725434 Meet Rover , a stunning 5-year-old German Shepherd with all the breed’s classic good looks and the hopeful heart of a dog ready for a fresh start. With his plush, richly toned coat, regal sloped back, and those signature perky ears, he’s the total Shep package - alert, loyal, and oh-so-handsome. Rover may not have had the easiest life (signs like fly strike suggest he may have lived outdoors), but he’s more than ready to experience the love, comfort, and care he’s always deserved. Despite his past, he's a well-balanced boy - active enough to enjoy adventures with you, but also content to settle in for quiet, cozy time once he's had his play. Currently recovering from a mild doggy cold, Rover hasn't been neutered yet and will need to go home on a health and trust waiver, with follow-up care through your own vet. Whether you're a Shepherd lover or a first-time dog parent, Rover is ready to be your loyal new companion! ❤️ -5 year old black and brown German Shepherd -73 pound unaltered male -up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! However, Rover picked up a little doggy cold at the shelter, which is already being treated, but because of this, he has not yet been neutered - will need to be adopted on a health and trust waiver, adopter to follow up with own vet for further diagnostics and treatment -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 9/8/25 as a stray -classic shep good looks, from an exquisitely plush coat in rich warm tones, the traditional sloped back, and perky ears that swivel on alert -perfect for experienced lovers of the breed, but also a wonderful candidate for new pet owners -well balanced medium energy level, happy to tag along on any active adventures but also to spend some cozy time together indoors - especially after burning off some steam via play or other exercise -has not had the kindest life - may have been an outside only dog, given the fly strike on his ears - but is more than ready to be given the love and care he's always deserved ROVER’S VIDEO: youtube/shorts/VfXU For more information, contact volunteer Lor at lorunitedhopeforanimals Photo Credit Sena Zimmer Look up this or other animals at Baldwin Park Animal Care Center animalcare.lacounty.gov/view-our-animals/ Use their unique ID NUMBER.
