Dog Breed: Lhasa Apso. At 10 years old, this sweet Lhasa Apso has mastered the art of being the perfect companion. He’s playful, affectionate, and happiest when he’s by your side. His dream day is lounging with his favorite person, squeaky toy nearby, and maybe a tasty treat to snack on. He enjoys playing with other dogs and would do wonderfully in a home with a friend to play with. Cats, however, aren’t his favorite—he’s tried chasing them before—so a cat-free home would be best. At night, he sleeps soundly in his crate, and he greets his person every morning with love and excitement by rolling around in bed. He’s still working on house training, but with patience, consistency, he’ll get the hang of it. Above all, this sweet boy is looking for someone to love unconditionally. If you’re searching for a devoted companion who will make you laugh, keep you company, and share his heart (and maybe your snacks), this little guy is waiting just for you. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop
