Dog Breed: Cocker Spaniel (medium coat). MEET MAX! *My Adoption Fee is waived thanks to the Jeff's Fund* Calling all cocker spaniel enthusiasts! As you well now - the Cocker Spaniel breed is a special one and Max is no different! He's a sweet, playful and handsome boy! Max is 8 years old and sadly his owner passed away so he is now looking for a second chance at a loving home in his older age. But don't let his age deceive you - Max enjoys lots of different activities like sniffari walks, hikes, or simple neighborhood walks. Max's big claim to fame is that he is very house trained! He knows how to indicate that he needs to go out and can get anxious if he has to wait to long to go. Max also enjoys the company of other dogs and going on social walks, however he prefers to be the only dog in the home. He has a habit of going up to every dog to say hello and when he isn't able to, he barks as if it works to get him closer to the dog! This can be disconcerting to people but he's been doing great learning that he sometimes can't greet a dog and he has to be patient or ignore them. Max loves to play with toys and greet you with them when you return home. He is a spectacular napper - he will nap just about anywhere and sprawl out on a cool floor when its hot. Overall Max is a love and would make a fantastic canine companion so if he sounds like the dog for you - come by our Boston location to meet him! Max is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team.
