Kenneth is a 2-year-old Chihuahua with the kind of gentle spirit that makes you want to scoop him up and tell him everything will be okay. He’s been through a lot—his previous owner passed away, and with no family able to take him in, he found himself needing a fresh start. Kenneth needs time to decompress in a quiet, understanding home. He’s a litle unsure of the world right now. His crate is his "cave," a safe space where he can retreat and feel secure. He finds comfort in having a place that's just for him. Right now, Kenneth prefers to be picked up using a towel or blanket—once in your arms, he melts and will sit quietly in your lap, soaking in your calm. He doesn’t mind wearing a leash, but he’s not comfortable walking with it just yet. Tension makes him nervous, so he’ll need time and gentle guidance to build confidence. Kenneth would do best in an adult-only home that respects his boundaries and understands his need to go at his own pace. With time, trust, and lots of patience, Kenneth will open up. And when he does, you’ll have the most loyal, quiet little companion who just wants to be close.
