Dog Breed: Poodle (Miniature) / Retriever / Mixed. THINGS ARE LOOKING UP: Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 15 lbs. Hi, my name is Kenneth! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control after neglect left me with skin and fur issues so severe that I had to be shaved almost everywhere — except my face! Now I’m on the mend and looking forward to growing my coat back in while I search for my forever family. At just 15 pounds, think of me as a “mini poodle retriever” mix with a big heart in a small package. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and did not like them, so I’ll want to be your only dog. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m described as sweet as they come — an absolute cuddle bug who thrives on being loved. Some things my temporary foster and the volunteers say about me is the I have a beautiful soul, and when I look at you with my big brown eyes, I’ll melt your heart every time. I’m pretty calm, friendly, and gentle, but also have a little spunky side that makes me fun to be around. I’m doing so well for my twice weekly long-medicated baths and shampooing, patiently soaking it all in, and I love nothing more than giving kisses and snuggling close. I’ll be such a wonderful companion for someone who’s ready for lots of love and sweetness in their life. / Energy Level: 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the sit’, ‘down’, ‘come’ and ‘place’ commands and I look forward to learning even more. / I’m doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts though I do exit it quickly. I also did well in my temp. foster home, though I made a little noise for a short time. / I’m having some accidents on the shelter schedule, so please keep me on a good take-out schedule so I can fully master my potty training. However, in my temp. foster home I did well, so perhaps I’ll do well in my new home, too – a good schedule is always a good idea though. • LIKES/DISLIKES: My favorite thing is being in your lap, cuddling, and just lounging around with my people. I’m definitely a “belly rubs, all the time” kind of dog! I also enjoy going for walks and I’m sure we’ll find lots of other things we will like doing together. / Other than other dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on my annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I’ll need to continue getting my medicated baths twice a week for a bit longer as they are helping my skin heal and fur grow back – these can be done in my new home. I’m also taking a medication called Apoquel to help with the itch. I may not need to stay on this long term – time will tell. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future. I’m an adorable little friend, looking for a wonderful family that will love and take great care of me furever! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
