Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Koda is a 2-3 year old Pitbull/bulldog mix. She is so incredibly sweet and loving with all people and loves snuggles. I rescued Koda from a kill dog pound where she was said to be found roaming on the streets. Since then she has been living with me and my roommate and does amazing as an only dog. She is very easy as she does not get into or chew anything while she is alone and is just a little couch potato. But when we get home, she has a little burst of energy and enjoys going on short walks before she gets too tired and wants to go back to sleeping. She loves toys and loves to play fetch. She is pretty well leashed trained and does not pull and never barks. It does seem like she wants to be an only dog and is why I need to find her a new home as she did not want to be friends with my other dog. Koda is looking for a home with humans who want to watch tv with her, have a light 15-30 minute of play time, and be your best friend to come home to each day. **** Breed: bulldog/pitbull mix **** Pet Link: .nokillnetwork/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2189441&flag=1

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
