Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). ADOPT ME Meet Sahara This little desert beauty is as spunky as her name! Sahara is a bundle of sass, sweetness and playful energy. She’s brown like the sands she’s named after, and her personality shines just as bright. Sahara loves to play, loves to snuggle, and (true to puppy form) LOVES her food. She’ll keep you laughing with her silly antics and then melt right into your lap when she’s ready for some love. Sahara is working on house training yet. Out of all the pups, she is the closest to being fully trained. Yes, she is kennel trained. She loves her alone time in there. Whines a bit when it's bedtime for overnight but it may be because all are in the same room. She curious on cats, loves other dogs. Sahara is pretty mellow- she likes to play but she isn't one to have a lot of energy bursts. Sahara sits on command. Has the most expressive eyebrows & is pretty petite compared to the others. Been walking well on a leash but does get distracted by sticks. She is adoptable and she’s already dreaming of finding her forever family. If you’re looking for a playful, sweet, and sassy pup to add to your pack, Sahara might just be your perfect match!

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
