Description
Dog Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier / Boxer / Mixed (medium coat). Everyone meet Dan! This poor guy came to us with injured back legs after having been hit by a car. He wasn't able to put weight on his right rear leg. X-rays showed a distal tib fib complete communicated fracture. He'll need surgery to correct the break - either with pinning to stabilize the bone, or an amputation of the limb. His left rear leg was also injured, though he's able to put weight on it. His left foot had a deep wound with exposed bone! Thankfully with time this wound seems to be healing well. Dan's currently got a splint on his right rear leg, and his left rear leg was bandaged due to the wound. Despite everything Dan has been through, he still greets everyone with a tail wag. He's a very sweet and happy boy who is ready to befriend everyone he's ever met. Dan needs more medical care than we can provide here in shelter - he needs a rescue to help him get the further medical care he needs! Please let us know if you're a rescue that can help him.
