Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Adoption Fee: 400.00. Hi I'm Maximus (Max) and I LOVE life! I am a happy, happy, happy guy and everyone is my friend whether they talk, bark or meow. Ok, the meows kind of scare me so I may avoid them. I'm an Australian Cattle Dog puppy and am about 8 months old and 27 pounds, but I am open to lots of guidance and training but am already getting the hang of things! I'd love to share life's adventures or snuggles with you and when I'm old enough can even be a running buddy! If you have a fenced in yard then woohoo lots of play time for me and it's a bonus as I love to get the outside zoomies! My favorite things are to play with other dogs and get the zoomie, play with toys, chew on bones, belly rubs and sleep in the arms of my foster mama! I live with dogs from 35 pounds to 160 pounds and cats but they scare the dickens out of me...and, although, I'm not sure what the dickens is you can be I'll be outta there! So I'm super smart and love to learn. I'd be super duper happy if you have another dogs to wear out my happiness energy and if you don't you'll need to be energetic enough for me! My newest trick is when lights go out so do I! I curl up preferably using a human as my pillow and sleep all night! Things I'm working on include crate training and I'll go in fine but don't really love it and will tell you about that! Also, jumping and giving you the paw of love ....ugh it's so hard as I just want all the love and get so excited. Even though I love kids, they maybe shouldn't be toddlers as I may accidently knock them down. So I have typical puppy needs but I'm ahead of things like potty training, crate training and sitting plus I am so darn charming and cute. I promise to keep your home full of joy, love and goofiness so pick me, pick me, pick me (visualize...my paw is currently up in the air)!!! Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
