Dog Breed: Dachshund (long coat). George is a gorgeous 7 year old tweenie red long hair purebred Dachshund. He is bonded with his sister, Gracie...a beautiful chi/poodle mix. She's 10 years old. George is a very sweet and loving little boy who still loves to play like a puppy, especially when he gets the zoomies. Loves to run around and chase Gracie. He's also happy to just lay around and be snuggled and pet all day, too. He can be quite the barker, especially with his sister, Gracie. A HOME WITH A YARD IS THE BEST FIT. NO OTHER PETS IN THE HOME, AND NO CHILDREN. The Dachshund, affectionately known as the "wiener dog," is a fascinating breed originating in Germany, primarily bred to hunt badgers and other burrowing animals. Their most distinctive physical characteristic is their long, low-slung body and short, muscular legs, a feature perfectly adapted for tunneling. They come in three coat types – smooth, longhaired, and wirehaired – and various sizes, from miniature to standard. Temperamentally, Dachshunds are known for being courageous, curious, and often quite playful, with a surprising amount of energy.
