Dog Breed: Corgi / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 600. Kittyhawk was found abandoned in Cleveland, Texas, in an area sadly known as a dumping ground. After a short stay with a kind person who tried to find her owner, she was placed in boarding until rescue could step in. Kittyhawk is a sweet, people-focused girl who loves attention and being petted, especially during playtime. She lights up when she’s loose and able to hang out near her people, and she has a funny little “rabbit run” that makes her foster smile every time she takes off outside. She’s leash and crate trained, rides well in the car, and has a gentle, affectionate nature. Kittyhawk can be selective with other dogs, especially if they are reactive, so she may do best as an only dog or with a calm, compatible canine friend. Because of her background, she’ll need a little time and patience as she adjusts, but she’s already shown how much she thrives with kindness and consistency. Kittyhawk is ready to trade life on the streets for a safe home where she can finally settle in and be loved. Kittyhawk is from Texas. This pet is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease and is available through our Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) program. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery. RSR will cover the full cost of treatment. RSR will provide heartworm preventatives until the retest is due.
